About the Role
Eswelt specializes in connecting top ERP and CRM professionals with companies of all sizes, from startups to global enterprises. Each consultant focuses on a specific technology, region, and contract type to deliver precise and effective placements. A client is currently seeking a freelance Odoo Developer with deep expertise across backend and frontend development, API integration using FastAPI, DevOps practices, and post-deployment support. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, integrating, and maintaining Odoo ERP systems while ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
Responsibilities
Odoo Development
- Design and implement new features within the Odoo ERP system
- Optimize, debug, and enhance existing Odoo modules
- Customize workflows and manage upgrades across Odoo versions
API Integration (FastAPI)
- Develop and maintain FastAPI-based integrations with external platforms (eCommerce, CMS, etc.)
- Ensure APIs meet performance and scalability requirements
DevOps & Infrastructure
- Oversee deployment pipelines and infrastructure automation
- Utilize platforms like AWS for hosting and optimizing Odoo environments
- Monitor performance, improve system reliability, and manage security
Support & Maintenance
- Provide technical support and resolve post-deployment issues
- Offer user training and develop system documentation
- Maintain long-term system stability and usability
Required Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Odoo, including version upgrades and integrations
- Proven proficiency in FastAPI for API development
- Solid background in DevOps, including CI/CD, cloud services (AWS, GCP), Docker, and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with tools like Jira and agile project workflows
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Experience delivering technical support in complex environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Python, JavaScript, and frontend technologies
- Experience integrating Odoo with CRM, CMS, or eCommerce platforms
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure tools
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
